When the feature film “Remember Isobel” premieres this fall, try to spot Natomas High School’s gymnasium.

Sacramento filmmaker Sarah Barbulesco shot scenes at Natomas High School on Tuesday, July 29, for her film detailing the struggles of a family in dealing with the effects of Alzheimer’s disease on a loved one.

“Remember Isobel,” meant in part to promote Alzheimer’s research, is dedicated to Sarah Barbulesco’s grandparents, Daniel Barbulesco and Elizabeth Keeler Barbulesco, in honor of Daniel’s selfless care for his wife during her struggle with Alzheimer’s.

Most of the filming of “Remember Isobel” has been done in Folsom. Filming is nearly complete and the movie is expected to premiere later this year – sites have not yet been set,  but Barbulesco said the movie is sure to run in Sacramento.

Executive producers of “Remember Isobel” include several widely known actors: Alfred Molina of Spider-Man 2, Michael Badalucco of “The Practice,” and Don Most, who portrayed Ralph Malph in the 1970s sitcom, “Happy Days.”
