Tigers it’s time for our Local Fact of the Day!

-Sacramento is home to the original Pony Express. This expansive mail delivery service originated in Sacramento and stretched all the way to Missouri.

 

In School News…

-Attention Attention!! Attention all student body: Are you interested in participating and finding out how decisions are made on programs for your student body and school site? Come see Mrs. Guevara, Principal Garcia’s secretary in the administrators’ hall and submit your name to be part of our School Site Council.

-Peer tutoring has begun and will be held in the Atrium every Monday - Thursday from 3- 4:15 stay on Track for success from the start! Peer Tutors and Teachers are here to help!

If you are coming to peer tutoring or just getting homework done, please remember after school Peer tutoring starts promptly at 3:00 – be signed in and seated at a table with a neon sign for your chosen subject. Supper will only be served to those students who are seated and studying at the designated tables.

-Sign up to be involved in the huge half time performance and skits with your class at the homecoming game. We will announce the Theme soon so make sure to get involved and make these high school years full of memories.

- Sophomores, juniors and seniors will have powder puff practice on the 16th, 17th, 23 and 24th of September from 6-8:00pm. Freshman will be the 16th 18th, 23rd and 24th of September from 6-8:00. Listen for more details coming soon!

-“Listen up all students, the Natomas Unified School District College Night is on Wednesday September 24th at Natomas High School from 6-8pm in the gym.  Please bring your families and come check out 60+ colleges and universities, including CSU’s, UC’s, Private colleges, community colleges and more!!  This is a great opportunity to meet college representatives, so don’t miss out on this FREE event.”

 

In Club News…

-Attention all National Honor Society Members: You may now pay your dues to the bookkeeper! New Members are $20, and returning members are $10. All dues must be paid before our next meeting on Weds October 1st.  Please save your receipt to pick up your T-shirts at the meeting.

-Culinary Club meeting will be cancelled this Friday  - See you next week on September 26th. Be sure to email Mrs. Henderson your 5 recipes, and choose 1 to make for the club meeting on the 26th!

-National Honor Society Spray Painting is postponed until next week. We will be Spray Painting the Recycling cans next week on September 26th after school 3-4 PM – make sure you are wearing appropriate clothes to get work done!

-Join our travel club and fundraise you way to travel all over the globe! Ms. Stubenrauch and Mrs. Tenorio will be the club advisors and host a trip to Peru in June. The Peru trip is open to all students, and community service hours as well as credit will be earned.

-The Christians in Action Club is hosting “See You At the Pole” on September 24, 2014 at 7:50 a.m. It will be held at the flag pole by the main office. “See You At the Pole” is an event where fellow students and teachers unite in order to pray for friends, families, students, teachers and Inderkum as a whole. Make sure you’re there!!!
