Witter Ranch Elementary School has an Attendance line (916) 567-5620. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to call or email for your child before 8:00 a.m. each day a child will be out. If you do not call in your child within (3) days of the absence, the absence will automatically turn into a truancy and the Student Attendance and Review Board (SARB) process may begin per CA Education Code 48200. An attendance supervisor is allowed to arrest or assume temporary custody of a student who is absent from school without a valid excuse. Continued truancy may result in intervention from the Department of Child Services (CPS) and/or District Attorney.
