The Internet was out district-wide yesterday because of a damaged underground cable. Infinite Campus, email, and other services also were affected. Suspected vandalism of a Comcast fiber cable was the culprit. Comcast worked through the evening to repair the line.

Today, as we return to using web-based services, staff may experience small challenges or interruptions, so we want to make sure you know how to get support:

1)   Utilize the “Help” tool built into the software you’re using

2)   Staff can enter a work order as needed

3)   Phone the RD Department, 561-5268, or the IT Department, 567-5459

4)   Talk to one of the IT techs when you see them on your site

5)   Email Barbara Schiffner, Director of Technology at [email protected], or Joel Rabin, Assistant Superintendent, at  [email protected]

Finally, because emails were sitting in cues waiting to be delivered yesterday evening, please make sure that important emails you expected to receive or emails you sent were received by the appropriate recipient.
