Natomas Unified has scheduled a series of meetings for The Next 5 strategic planning process, which will guide the district’s future for the next five years. This effort is vital and your feedback is key. Please mark your calendar now to attend one of the meetings listed below.
“The Next 5” is designed to positively impact every family and school in our district by looking at whether to stay the course or adjust our efforts in five key areas that directly affect students and classrooms:
1) Vision, Goals and Core Beliefs
2) Operations
3) Curriculum and Pathways
4). Instruction, Assessment and Student Learning
5) Culture, Climate, Engagement and Communication
As part of “The Next 5,” we will look at NUSD’s accomplishments in recent years and consider challenges that lie ahead. Input from parents, students, staff and stakeholders will help us strategically plan for the next five years as a dynamic, diverse and growing district committed to preparing students to be college and career ready, productive, responsible, and engaged global citizens.
Posted beneath this letter are district-wide “The Next 5” community input sessions, and engagement events at specific schools. We recommend you attend one regional meeting and a session at your child’s campus.
If you are unable to attend any of the sessions, this webpage contains a video providing more information about The Next 5 and, beginning Jan. 9, it will contain a brief online survey for providing feedback. Thank you for your time and help.
