Build it and they will come? Indeed!

Natomas Unified created and rolled out the welcome mat Friday to a Classified Employee Job Fair and come they did – in droves, perhaps 200 job seekers in all.

By day’s end, Natomas Unified filled key openings in about 10 non-teaching positions, including food service assistant, kindergarten aide, bus driver, maintenance, custodian, payroll technician, school secretary, and Special Education instructional assistant.

Applicants were asked to bring their resumes and be prepared for interviews on the spot. NUSD administrators manned numerous tables in the District’s Staff Development Center for one-on-one meetings with job seekers.

The highly successful job fair strengthens NUSD’s work force as the district gears up for the start of school Aug. 10.
