Natomas Unified School District is excited to announce that Coach Casey Taylor, recently cited as “One of the most accomplished coaches in all of Northern California,” in a recent article in The Sacramento Bee is the new Varsity Football Coach of Inderkum High School. “I am really excited to have the opportunity to come to Inderkum and take over a program that has a lot of success because of the work of Terry Stark,” said Taylor.

After 15 years as the head coach of Inderkum and building Inderkum into a football power, Coach Stark stepped aside from coaching to support his son. Although Coach Stark won’t be on the field pushing the Tigers to do their absolute best, he will continue to cheer them on and remain on the teaching staff. “We would not have been able to recruit a coach with the high caliber as Coach Taylor if it had not been for the incredible job of Coach Stark with our football program,” said Principal Dan Motherspaw.

Taylor most recently held the head varsity football coaching position at Capital Christian Center where he led his team to win 30 games in three seasons to go with three league championships and a Sac-Joaquin Section Division III banner. Prior to that, he led a successful football program for 15 years at Del Oro High School where he led his team to 14 playoffs, 9 Sac-Joaquin Section finals, and 6 championships.

“I want to thank the Principal, Athletic Director, and Superintendent for giving me this opportunity and working so quickly to get this done. I’m ready to join the staff and get to work.”
