When will HS Athletic practices and games/competition begin?

The CDPH and the CIF direct the dates that practices and competition can begin based on the tiered status of ‘Purple’, ‘Red’, ‘Orange’ and ‘Yellow’. We plan and prepare for timelines and restrictions as dictated by the CDPH and Sac County. The CIF also determined that local leagues will determine seasons of sport. Updated guidance allows for outdoor and indoor sports to begin with certain state and county conditions met. Sport schedules can be found on each sites Athletics page. Information, guidelines and schedules can change rapidly, please contact your school site Athletic Director for clarification if needed.
