NUSD is Building a Culture of Resilience through the integration of our current systems of student support, including Trauma Informed Practices, PBIS, Restorative Practices, Responsive Classroom, and the three signature practices of SEL (welcoming rituals, engaging practices and strategies and optimistic closure). Below you will find helpful resources, strategies and ideas to assist you in planning social emotional activities with your students.
The SEL Resource Guide was compiled to provide the user with SEL resources, information and activities that can be used with both students and adults. The goal is to build and expand your toolkit with SEL strategies. As always, we encourage you to use, modify and share the SEL strategies as well as create new strategies to share with your colleagues. Finally, we hope the strategies help you to collaboratively build learning environments where all participants feel acknowledged, respected and supported.
