Student Services and Support

Welcome to Student Services and Support (SSS) Department! Student Services and Support covers Special Education, 504 Plan, Foster Youth, Homeless Youth, Student Services, Health and Wellness, and Social Emotional Support Services. This website exists as a resource for NUSD families, staff and community members. Our mission in Student Services and Support is to provide each student with an appropriate education in the least restrictive environment. We believe in high quality, evidence based instruction and services for all students and we believe that all students can learn and succeed.

Distance Learning

Distance learning gives learners who are not in the same physical location as their teacher access to online educational materials.

Due to COVID-19 virus, distance learning is something that is becoming a common practice in school districts, colleges and universities to educate students on the necessary topics regardless of location. We are fortunate to already have access to a variety of technology tools that we already use, such as Google’s suite and apps like Google Classroom and Google Meet.
