LGA Business Exhibition

Parents and public are invited to learn about Leroy Greene Academy’s business program.

One by one, a group of Natomas High School students took to the microphone Wednesday and welcomed the crowd in their native language – French, Hindi, Spanish, Tagalog, Japanese and others. Thus began Multicultural Night, an annual celebration of diversity that was combined with the campus’s Open House, giving parents a chance to learn about the school’s academic programs and talk with teachers, then stay for a rich lineup of entertainment that included Aztec dancers, hip hop dancers, a singer of Spanish songs, and performances by the NHS Drum Corps, cheer squad and band. A huge world map hung on the wall and  visitors were encouraged to place a pin on their ancestors’ country of origin. The exercise graphically illustrated Natomas High’s multicultural richness and served as a reminder of an NUSD Core Belief: “Our diversity is a strength.”
