Free health-care checkups offering physical exams, lab tests, immunizations, and screenings for dental, vision and hearing fitness are available through Sacramento County’s Department of Health and Human Services Child Health and Disability Prevention program to eligible youth and young adults.
The program also provides nutrition checkups, tobacco education, back-to-school health exams, school entry exams, and other wellness services. It serves babies, children, teens and young adults from low-income households or who are eligible for Medi-Cal.
Trained medical providers are available to help children stay healthy, find problems early, and answer health questions.
