Graduation and Promotion Ceremonies

2021 Graduation Information

Natomas Unified is excited to announce that the District will have in-person graduations for the Class of 2021! To create a safe environment, ceremonies will be held outdoors at Sutter Health Park, 400 Ballpark Drive, West Sacramento, CA 95691. Although our community has made great progress in managing COVID-19, we are still required to follow local and State guidelines and safety protocols to ensure we continue this positive trend. These mandated guidelines include limiting the number of people admitted to the ballpark (up to 20% capacity), providing 6 feet of social distancing between families, and requiring all attendees to wear face masks. On this page you will find ceremony details, livestream and cable information, and answers to common questions to help you prepare for a successful day celebrating your graduate.

How to Scan a QR code on an Android and  iPhone
Press and hold the home button.
Then tap Lens.
Point your camera at the QR code.
Then tap the magnifying glass icon to scan the QR code.
Finally, tap the pop-up notification.

Where do I meet up with my graduate after the ceremony?
Graduates will exit out of the Right Field Gate, and families will exit out of the Main Gate.  Families may connect with their graduate on Ballpark Drive (the street will be closed), or in the parking lot. Families will be encouraged to leave the ticket plaza/main gate area shortly after the ceremony ends. Per state guidelines, congregating post-ceremony is highly discouraged.

Will you allow late entry to the ceremony once it has started?
Yes, gates will remain open during the ceremony. To enter, guests must have their mobile ticket ready to scan.

COVID PROTOCOL
Mobile Ticketing: Please ensure that all students have distributed their tickets to the correct persons prior to arrival. We want to ensure as smooth of an entrance process as possible, starting with every person having their ticket up on their mobile device ready for scan.

Physical Distancing: Guests are encouraged to maintain a 6-ft distance between themselves and anyone outside of their household beginning at the gate entrance line and once inside the stadium. Congregating is discouraged. Security and ushers will encourage everyone to find their reserved seat upon entry.

Hand Sanitizing Stations & Surface Transmission: Sutter Health Park will have numerous hand sanitizing stations available for use throughout the ballpark. All areas of the ballpark accessed by guests will be cleaned and disinfected at regular intervals using processes and products approved by the CDC and EPA for use against COVID-19.

For the safety of our security staff and guests, to avoid touching attendees’ personal items, Sutter Health Park is enforcing a small clear bag policy and ask guests to open their own bags for inspection. If guests come with a bag that is not clear, they will be asked to bring it back to their vehicle. All guests will pass through our metal detector upon entry as well. Click here for a visual of which clear bags will be permitted.

Tickets will be distributed electronically to each graduate prior to the ceremony. The graduate will then have the opportunity to transfer the mobile tickets to his/her family members that will be in attendance. Each set of tickets will be set up in a “pod” physically distanced from the next pod. All pods must be of members of the same household, and in-state attendees only. Upon entry, family members will pull up their mobile device to scan. Guests are encouraged to maintain a 6-ft distance between themselves and anyone outside of their household beginning at gate entrance line and once inside the stadium. Congregating is discouraged.
