It’s the celebration we’ve all been waiting for – the grand opening of the North Natomas Community Center & Aquatics Complex!

Prior to the official grand opening to the public, which takes place this Saturday, NUSD Board of Trustees and City and District Officials joined Business and Community partners in celebrating the grand opening with a press conference & ribbon cutting ceremony. After reflecting on all of the work and thanking individuals who were integral from the beginning to the end of the project, Vice Mayor Angelique Ashby shared the importance of the relationship with the district before introducing Superintendent Chris Evans to have words. Superintendent Evans talked about the tremendous opportunity the Olympic-sized pool brings to our students. “Imagine seeing one of our students practice and compete here and later competing during the Olympics. What an opportunity, what a facility. I can’t wait to say, I knew her when.” He also talked about the ability now to teach students to swim, who would not have the means or access to do so without a program provided by the district.

We are so excited for our families and community members to enjoy the facility and create memorable moments. Public tours are available Wednesday – Friday from 3pm – 6pm and the Grand Opening is Saturday. Pre-registration is required. Click here to register.
