Welcome to H. Allen High Elementary School, home of the Cheetahs
H. Allen Hight Elementary School opened on August 11, 2008. Our school was named after a former teacher who taught Kindergarten and other grade levels for many years in Natomas Unified School District. Mr. H. Allen Hight was very involved in the community. Mr. Hight served on the Facilities Development Committee and played a role in establishing Fort Natomas. In addition, he helped develop the Science Program for the district. Those who knew him and worked with him say that Mr. Hight believed that if you focus on math, you will improve math scores, and if you focus on reading, you will improve reading scores. He believed if you concentrate on science you will improve both reading and math scores. He was also a strong advocate for active hands-on learning for students. He encouraged the students in experiments even at an early age. Mr. Hight passed away in 1999, but his vision and legacy will live on through our school.
Our three rules at H. Allen Hight Elementary School are: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe.
