During winter recess, Sacramento Kings Dewayne Dedmon hosted a holiday shopping spree for H. Allen Hight students. Each child received a $100 Walmart gift card, dinner, and other SWAG items. This week is parent/teacher conferences and in many cases, these will be student-led conferences.
Having a comprehensive and easy to read format that clearly shows a student’s performance is integral for parents to be better equipped to help their child succeed. That was key in the redesign of Natomas Unified’s elementary report cards. Launching in fall 2019, parents will learn in this episode the extensive work that went into the development, what’s different, and why this matters.
