The safety of our students has always been and continues to be a priority. To increase the visibility of our students while walking or riding their bikes to and from school, particularly when it’s dark outside, we will be providing reflective zipper pulls to students the week of October 28. For those of you who have been a part of the Natomas Unified community for a while, you may recall when we distributed these in 2013 and 2017. With the change in time coming up soon, we wanted to make sure that we issued these now so that your student(s) have them.
There will be enough reflective zipper pulls for each student at our TK-5, TK-8, Leroy Greene Academy (6-8), and Natomas Middle School (6-8). There will be a generous supply available at our high schools for any student who would like to have one. We will be encouraging all students to place them on their backpacks to help their visibility when it’s dark. We hope you will share that message as well.
