Meet Kelly Matheson, new to Paso Verde School but not the district. Ms.Matheson was born and raised in Sacramento, CA and grew up in the Eureka Union School District. Her favorite class was 6th grade! She wanted to be just like her teacher and loved everything they learned. In her youth she knew that she wanted to serve her collegiate career at Chico as her parents did. She can now count herself as an Alumni of Chico State having attended for both her undergraduate and credential programs.

What brought Ms. Matheson to PVS?

“I heard about this amazing new school in Natomas that sounded like the perfect fit and knew I had to be part of the team! Learning is fun and engaging so I am eager for the STEAM and Inquiry Based learning here at Paso Verde.” - Kelly Matheson

What is her proud moment?
“I love seeing my students make real life connections to what they are studying and then teach their peers! My students can learn just as much from each other as they do from me and I learn from them on a daily basis!” -  Kelly Matheson
