About Me

¡Hola y bienvenidos a la clase de español! My name is María González. I was born and raised in the state of Michoacán, México. I migrated to the United States in 2006 and have been living here ever since. My childhood's dream job was becoming a teacher. After attending Woodland Community College from 2008-2010, I realized that teaching my mother tongue, español, was my passion, so I decided to major in Spanish with a minor in Education. I attended Sacramento State University from 2011-2015. I graduated 3 times! Spanish B.A: 2012, Spanish M.A.: 2014, and Teaching Credential Certificate: 2015. I was placed at Natomas High School for my student teaching phase, and I loved it! I am so happy to be back here as afull time teacher and work with and for this community. I am currently teaching Spanish II, Spanish for Native Speakers 1, and Conversational Spanish. Go Nighthawks!
