Auditions for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “The Secret Garden” will be held on Monday, November 13th from 1:15 PM to 3:30 PM (we have early release the entire week for parent teacher conferences) inside the cafeteria. There are roles for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Approximately 50- 60 Heron students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Director. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two hour session. The first rehearsal (for some students) begins approximately 15 minutes after the audition. This will be a group audition and no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts :). Students should be ready to come and have a good time!

Rehearsals will be conducted every day from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM in the cafeteria or the library. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role and be available for all scheduled performances (Friday evening 11/17 at 6PM and Saturday afternoon 11/18 at 12:00 PM).  A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition. Cast members scheduled for the full 4 hours and 15 minutes will be asked to bring a sack lunch, dinner or snack to be eaten during the 15 minute break between sessions. The performances will be held on Friday November 17, 2023 at  6:00 PM and Saturday, November 18 at 12:00 PM and will be presented at Heron School.  If your child is interested in auditioning please have them head over to the cafeteria after school on Monday, November 13th at 1:15. Tickets will be sold for each performance online the week of the show. Please be on the lookout for more information.
