Please note that start dates will depend on State and County guidelines. All sports are still divided into two seasons of play (Season #1 and Season #2) instead of the standard three seasons of play (fall, winter, and spring). The breakdown is as follows:
Season #1 includes the following sports: cross country (men and women), volleyball (women), water polo (men and women), D7 Soccer (men and women), and football. Season #1 will have the following start dates for official tryouts:
TBA – Football, Cross County
TBA – Women’s Volleyball, Water Polo, Soccer (LGA)
Season #2 includes the following sports: baseball, basketball (men and women), golf (men and women), volleyball (men), soccer (men and women), softball, swimming/diving (men and women), tennis (men and women, coed), track and field (men and women), wrestling (men and women). Season #2 will have the following start dates for official tryouts:
TBA – Golf, Tennis
TBA – Basketball, Soccer, Wrestling, Coed Tennis (NHS)
TBA – Men’s Volleyball (moved from season #1), Swimming/Diving, Baseball, Softball
TBA– Track and Field
It is understood that this set-up is not ideal for multi-sport athletes. We will work closely between our multi-sporters to alleviate as much stress as possible. Facility issues were also considered by the CIF in order to avoid the cancellation of specific levels of sport or programs. This is only a one year adjustment due to the pandemic and we will return to a normal, three season sports season (fall, winter, spring) the following year.
Athletic Directors/Coaching Staff will adjust their game schedules, practice schedules, and training regimens to best prepare the student-athletes for this adaptation of the schedule. For Conditioning that is ongoing, please refer to our ‘Phased Return to Athletics’ plan for each site.
See below for Inderkum High School’s Season #1 game schedules – these will be adjusted once updates are made by the CIF:

- Complete NUSD Secondary Student-Athlete Handbook
- Complete Student-Athletic Clearance Registration
Each year the Natomas Unified School District requires that each student have a Student-Athlete Clearance Packet completed prior to being eligible to tryout or participate in a school-sponsored sports program. Part of the clearance packet is a physical form that needs to be signed by your child’s physician. The Student-Athletic Clearance Registration needs to be completed prior to the first sport your child plays.
