Hope this finds as is well with you. We will be having Zoom online broadcast meetings and class on Thursdays at 1:30. I will share the link with you Wednesday on Remind 101. Some activities you may want to do now include using your phone to make a video on how you are spending your time, edit it on WeVideo and share with me via Google Drive or email for added credit. We also have an assignment to play with the green screen effect on WeVideo.

Welcome back! Hope everyone has a great summer. I am very excited for the 2019-2020 school year and we have lots of exciting opportunities ahead. Each year we also need to sign an equipment and video release as well as a contract for professional career standard behavior. A paper copy will be handed out in class to read, sign and return and will need to be signed by the student, parent/guardian and the teacher before any independent equipment use. A copy is also attached here. SD cards, notebooks and equipment will be provided but students are responsible for them. This year we will also have a career field trip to ABC10, professional guest speakers and some updated set equipment.

RulesandExpectationssignform (2)

This form must be signed by both the student and a parent/guardian. There will be news equipment and an actual news studio so proper procedures must be followed.

The Broadcast and Media Arts Pathway recently took a career field trip for students from Broadcast Media 2 to see TV production jobs that are possible to get with their communication skills at Raley Field with the RiverCats. They also had a visit this past week from CBS13 on what social media careers can look like and what work they can do now.
