When the seniors in the IB World Program at Inderkum High School graduated last May, they celebrated the end of their high school journey and the beginning of the next chapter in their lives. Now, 19 of them can celebrate that they have earned the prestigious world-recognized IB Diploma, and 77 can celebrate earning IB Course Certification. The final IB scores were received over the summer.
IB Coordinator Jessica Downing honored the students at a special ceremony last Friday. Some of the students had already left for college, but for those who were nearby, it was a wonderful experience. “The most valuable aspect of the IB Program was the experience, the people, and the strong sense of community,” said Jacob Mendoza, who attends Sacramento State University.
IB Diploma Programme is a two-year course of study designed to create disciplined, responsible and well-rounded graduates by requiring advanced study in English, mathematics, a world language, history, social science, natural science, and either art or a qualifying elective in science or social science.
