Day 1: Pass out an Oreo to each student. Talk about the parts of an opinion/persuasive writing piece using the Oreo poster provided. We will be doing a class opinion piece on this day.
Day 2:Laminate superpower cards and place on the board. Brainstorm with the kids why it would be good to have that superpower. Students will then decide which superpower they want. Complete the Super Hero Graphic Organizer.
Day 3:Transfer sentences from the graphic organizer to the Super Hero Writing Paper.
