Writing Prompt,
In King's famous letter he responds to the Eight White Alabama Clergymen's letter who make several claims regarding King's involvement in Birmingham.
Write a brief paper in which you analyze Martin Luther King Jr.'s argument. Account for the author's claims and state the purpose of the text. Then, in a few paragraphs, evaluate the rhetorical devices King uses to advance his position. How does the author structure the argument? Conclude your paper with a statement of significance--this is the "so what" of the text.
