Informational Text Report (Developed by Maureen Ramos & Lisa MacMillan) This tool can be used in large groups, small groups or individually to analyze informational texts. The level of DOK is dependent upon the discussion that accompanies the report. It's also great for differentiated challenge work, allowing kids to read and analyze informational texts of their own choosing. Keeping these reports in student portfolios, this tool can also act as an assessment piece. This was designed with first grade standards, but could also be used in kindergarten and second as well.
