- Site admin will remind teaching staff of the opportunity to develop any New Course Approval Form (NCAF) to be submitted to the principal by October 15.
- Whenever possible, teaching staff requesting to submit a new course for approval should use model courses which can be found through the UC A-G Course Management Portal
- If teaching staff submit new courses for approval, they must have received a signature from the department chair prior to being submitted to the principal on October 15.
- The principal will review NCAFs and, if approved for further review, submit to Assistant Superintendent of CAO that oversees their site. Submission must be received electronically in CAO by October 31, with hard copies to follow in interoffice mail.
- Asst. Supt. of CAO will review and, if approved for further review, follow the process outlined below. This process must be completed by November 30.
- By the appropriate date in November, an agenda item must be submitted for the December Board meeting, at which point all NCAFs will be prepared to submit for Board review.
- If NCAFs are approved by the Board at the December Board meeting, the NCAFs will be submitted to Research and Data to be added in the SIS district course list for the designated schools.
- Any courses slated for A-G approval will then be prepared to submit through the UC A-G Course Management Portal by site admin staff beginning in February in order to meet the first available submission deadline in May.
