Athletic forms for the upcoming school year are now available on our Athletics page. Students who plan to participate are required to complete a Clearance Packet prior to being eligible to tryout. Please complete forms and turn in physicals (required for athletics) and immunizations to the front office by the start of school.
No NUSD child will go hungry this summer, if we can help it … We’re offering free breakfasts and lunches, Mondays through Fridays, beginning Tuesday, May 28 at 11 of our schools.
We will remain open during the summer, 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays except for the first week in July (July 1st-5th). If you have any questions or need assistance, please call the front office at (916) 641-4960. We hope you have a great summer!
Golden it was — so take that, Mother Nature! Shifted from Natomas High to Golden 1 Center due to a threatened storm, tonight’s Nighthawk graduation ceremony featured partly cloudy skies overhead, storm clouds to the east, idyllic conditions in the arena — and student stars everywhere you looked.
This is the finale, the climax, the magical moment that has been building all year long. Month after month, we stress to 12th-graders how vital high school graduation is to their future, and we stress to elementary and middle school youth the importance of envisioning themselves in college and career.
Welcome to the “family.” That was the message from NUSD Board President Sue Heredia as she and her husband, Salvador Arriaga, presented two $500 scholarships in memory of her late son, Salvador, a former Nighthawk junior varsity football coach who died an untimely death nine years ago at age 26.
