Commencing with the 2021-22 school year, Natomas Unified will launch a K-12 Virtual Academy that will provide families with an innovative option for students to learn, thrive, and excel in a virtual environment.

In an effort to help slow down the spread of COVID-19 and to create a healthy Natomas, the Natomas Unified School District will begin administering COVID vaccinations with the support of the Sacramento County Public Health and Dr. Rusty Oshita, a physician with Urgent Care Now.

Natomas Unified School District is enrolling students now into Transitional Kindergarten through 12th grade for the 2021-22 school year. 

As students prepare for a transitional reopening and as a reminder when they return to campus, it’s important for them to know and understand the changes to their school and what they need to do to keep themselves and everyone around them safe and healthy. NUSD has compiled a series of videos and colorful graphics to help students understand how they can do their part to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Please take a few minutes to answer some questions that will help us move forward with our 18-month plan, as well as just check in with you on how things are going.

Given the circumstances surrounding the negative impact the pandemic has had on student learning and to provide some hope for students who may need it right now, we have requested that the NUSD Board consider a resolution tonight at the January 20th Board meeting that specifically addresses 9th-12th grade students to help them be successful and to stay on track for college and career.
