About Me

Hello NP3 families! I am beyond excited to be joining the NP3 elementary team as a second grade teacher. I am filled with such passion for helping young ones grow and can't wait to begin our learning adventures.

I attended California State University of Sacramento and attained my bachelors degree in Liberal Studies with a focus in Theater Studies in 2017. I look forward to bringing this background into the classroom through readers theater, skits and more! I returned to complete the teaching credential program the following year and graduated in Spring 2019.

I was lucky enough to complete part of my student teaching right here at NP3 in the third grade classroom. In the past, I have worked as a private tutor, substitute teacher, teacher's aid and camp director. I have been working in the world of education in the greater Sacramento area since 2013.

In my free time, I enjoy doing outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, sailing and white water rafting! I also love to draw, watercolor and craft in my free time. Theater is another hobby I enjoy! When I'm not doing something in the world of education, out in nature, or something artistic, you will find me doing my favorite thing of all- relaxing with my husband, Colten, my daughter, Luna, or my puggle, Lucy!

Finally, below is a quote I keep at the heart of teaching for both myself and my students.

"We do not need magic to transform the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already."
