Dear Second Grade Parents,
Wow, what a great year it has been with the second graders! We are both so thankful to have had such a successful year with such a smart, funny, and enthusiastic group of kids. We are looking forward to watching them grow in the NP3 Community over the next several years. Thank you for all of the parental involvement both inside and outside of the classroom that has helped your children to thrive. This summer please continue to read daily. Next year their will be an emphasis on comprehension. You can support this transition by asking questions while you read (making predictions, using context clues to learn vocabulary, identifying problem and solution, etc.) We will also be setting Zearn back to Module 4 and it will be available for practice all summer. This will allow students to review adding and subtracting within 1,000 with regrouping.
