Class Note – 08/14/17

We sure did have a great morning today! Starting the day off with Morning Meeting is a wonderful way to build a positive classroom community. We continue to learn about one another through sharing and through instruction regarding our procedures and expectations.

Today we learned more about Habit 1: Be Proactive.
Your 1st graders are learning about responsibility, integrity, trust, determination, kindness, positive choices and much more.

We are practicing STOP! THINK! GO!
STOP and get control of your emotions and movements.
THINK of possible choices that are above the line (Democracy and Cooperation)
GO with the proactive choice.
They are understanding and it helps our day to run more smoothly.

SNACKS-
Unfortunately, some snacks are being taken by others outside of our class. The best solution to this is to have our snack basket in our room instead of in the cafeteria. Starting tomorrow I would like your child to bring their snack to class and put it in our snack basket. It would be best if the snack had your child’s name on it. They will still put their lunch boxes in the large bin in the cafeteria.

I am looking forward to sharing classroom information at Back to School Night this Thursday. Please see attachments for more times.
