About Me

Welcome to my information page and thank you for visiting.  I am very excited to be joining NP3 high school this year.  This will be my fifteenth year teaching from elementary through college level mathematics.  I bring with me over 14 years of teaching which includes a wide range of experience from teaching elementary students all the way through an adjunct professorship at a university.  I have taught in both California and Oklahoma and currently posses a teaching license in the states of California, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Florida.  I choose to be a high school/middle school teacher because I feel it is a very crucial time in student's educational growth, especially, when it comes to mathematics.

As you can see by my picture I am blessed to have two beautiful daughters, which I cherish dearly.  A few things I would like to share about myself is that I am a Retired California Correctional Peace Officer and have also worked in the Structural Steel Industry as a young man for many years.  My family was in the construction industry so I have lived many exciting places including, Las Vegas, Oklahoma, Oakland and several other cities in the greater Sacramento area.

In my personal life I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially, camping and fishing the ocean, lakes, and rivers throughout California.

Both personally, and as an educator, I believe that we can learn the most from the mistakes we make in life.  In our classroom, mistakes are expected, positively received, and respected.  Our class will be learning about mathematics through collaborative activities, engaging projects, homework analysis, and correcting the mistakes students make.

Please feel free to contact me at [email protected]  with any questions or concerns you may have in regards to our classroom. As I often tell my students... "Make a Great Day!"
