GATE: Gifted and Talented Education Program

NPE has a GATE cluster program in grades 2-6.  Other district elementary schools follow the School wide Cluster Grouping Model, where all gifted children at each grade level 2nd through 8th are clustered together into an otherwise mixed-ability classroom with a designated gifted- cluster teacher. GATE cluster teachers provide individualized instruction or extended and accelerated learning opportunities as determined by the needs of the students. All students will receive the appropriate core reading and math instruction while in the GATE Cluster.

Students need to qualify for the GATE program through testing provided by Natomas Unified School District.  Testing is offered once a year, and must be proceeded by a teacher and parent referral.
