The Natomas Unified School District (NUSD) is committed to providing students, coaches, educators, and families with a safe, well-designed space. As part of this commitment, NUSD has renovated gyms, classrooms, fields, and other facilities at American Lakes, Bannon Creek, Jefferson, and Inderkum.

In 2023, crews will begin renovating Natomas High School’s fields. During this phase, Natomas’ existing water well system will be replaced with a more modern, sustainable water system.

“We’re putting in a lot of water-saving measures as part of that project,” Jennifer Mellor, NUSD’s Director of Facilities said.

“Not only does it give them a place that they’re excited to come to and engage in each day so they’ll be successful for their future, but it also allows them a safe and functioning environment,” Scott Pitts, the Principal of Inderkum High School stated.

The renovation projects have been funded through state money and Measure J bonds. See what we’ve been doing to enhance the school environment in the video below.
