Natomas Unified recently communicated to staff and families that it will pursue funds it contends are owed by the Natomas Teachers Association for excess release time by leaders of that group. Some of that excess release time is or was used to coordinate a pattern of bullying and harassing site and district administrators, NUSD’s message said, adding that there are organized efforts to force out staff and then complain publicly that NUSD has retention problems. Documentation underlying the district’s claims has been requested. In meeting that request, NUSD is releasing the information to the public, too, on this webpage (see below). NUSD wants to emphasize that the behaviors discussed do not represent the vast majority of teachers, who provide caring, committed and exemplary service to our students every day.
