Big Transition

Moving from primary and secondary schools to high school is a big transition. It can be exciting yet, it can be challenging for some families. One of our district goals is to prepare students to be college and career ready. Even though at this point in life, your student may be an independent individual, there are still some important ways you can support college and career readiness. The following videos are resources designed to give families general information on key strategies to use for the transition to higher education.

Content Standards adopted by the California State Board of Education

Content standards were designed to encourage the highest achievement of every student, by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level.

These brochures listed below provide parent/guardians insights into what their children are learning as they progress through the grade levels. The brochures also offer suggestions for parents/guardians to support their students’ learning and a list of additional resources.
