Good weather, good turnout, good carnival games and good family fun was offered Saturday, May 2, at this year's Natomas Duck Pluck Festival at Inderkum High School.

The event featured dozens of carnival game booths, along with food vendors, dancing, entertainment, an "Almost 5K Fun Run" -- even a Willie J's Big Burger Eating Contest won by Mark Beebe, principal at Natomas High School.

Big winner in the Duck Pluck Festival raffle was Rita Quesada, who won $3,000, an amount proportional to tickets sold. Second prize of $750 went to Jennifer Stefani of Natomas Charter School, and third prize of $250 went to Joann Day of Two Rivers Elementary.

The Duck Pluck Festival, organized by the Natomas Schools Foundation, raises funds for student scholarships and for art, athletic and academic programs at schools throughout Natomas Unified School District boundaries.
