Official SAT Practice with Kahn Academy and College Board Logo

As a part of the district vision to prepare students for college and careers, we provide the SAT to 11th graders at Inderkum High, Natomas High, Discovery High, and Leroy Greene Academy, free of charge, during the school day on April 13 and 27, 2021.  It is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper college admission test administered by the College Board. Doing well on the SAT can make a big difference in college acceptance and scholarships you could receive. Below are steps you can take to help you prepare for college opportunities.

A great way to prepare for the SAT is by using the  FREE Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy®. Research shows that 20 hours of Khan Academy SAT Practice is associated with a 115 point score increase from the PSAT/NMSQT.
All you have to do to get started is create and link your College Board and Khan Academy accounts. Watch the video above or click here for instructions. This will give you a personalized study plan based on your results on the PSAT/NMSQT so you can focus on the skills you need to work on most.
Apply for the College Board Opportunity Scholarships, which is a scholarship program with $5 million of scholarships each year, beginning with the class of 2020. Go to this website for more information on how to apply.
