It is an honor to serve the Natomas community as the Founding Principal of Paso Verde School. I look forward to working in partnership with faculty, community, families, and our scholars to develop a program of inquiry that empowers students to tackle the complex problems of the 21st century world.
I have been an educator for more than 20 years beginning as a middle school teacher and administrator. I am proud of the decade I dedicated to coaching principals and teachers on curriculum development and instructional strategies in California, Oregon and Washington, it taught me a great deal about teaching and learning. After attending UC Berkeley for my PhD in education policy, organization and measurement I came back to Sacramento and came to work with Natomas Unified School District.
I enjoy sports, especially skiing, running, and tennis. I love to read books, attend plays and gallery openings, and enjoy spending time with my daughter and husband.
My passion is working in schools, laying the foundation for students and staff to learn, reflect, and grow into their best selves. I believe schools are the cornerstones of community and am proud to be a PVS Puma!
