School Zone Speed Reduction

15 is Fast Enough City of Sacramento Speed Limit campaign

The City of Sacramento has launched its “15 is Fast Enough” public outreach campaign aimed at educating parents, students, and residents about the new law, which was passed by City Council on June 4, 2019.

As children return to school, please use extra safety precautions when driving. May of our students walk and ride bikes to school, so it is important to remain alert and follow all traffic laws. To increase safety, the city has lowered the speed limit in several areas in the Natomas community to 15 miles per hour. The changes go into effect immediately. Below you will find a list of NUSD schools, including charters, that are impacted:

American Lakes School
Bannon Creek School
Heron School
Jefferson School
Leroy Greene Academy
Natomas Charter School
Natomas Middle School / H. Allen Hight Elementary
Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep High
Natomas Park Elementary
Two Rivers Elementary
Westlake Charter
Witter Ranch Elementary
