As we expected and shared with you on Sunday evening, Sacramento County is now in the red tier, a less restrictive tier that allows secondary students (6-12) to return to in-person instruction. Assuming that we will stay in red for 5 consecutive days per our agreement with the Natomas Teachers Association (NTA), please plan for your student to return to school the week of March 22, 2021, depending on their assigned cohort. Your student’s cohort will determine their first day back on campus.
Beginning the first week of in-person instruction (March 22-26), students will be on a minimum day schedule to give them time to get reacquainted with their school site and to learn the new safety routines/measures. On March 29, they will resume their normal current schedule.
If you have chosen for your student to remain in distance learning, they will continue to learn from home. If you later decide for your student to return to in-person instruction, there will be multiple additional opportunities for them to return if space is available.
Please continue to check your messages regularly. Shortly, you will receive information from your student’s school on your student’s cohort schedule, protocols, safety precautions, and other pertinent information.
