High School Distance Learning Summer School

  • Session 1: June 1st – June 12th
  • Session 2: June 15th – June 26th

School Sites offering Summer School via Distance Learning:

  • Leroy Greene Academy
  • Natomas High School
  • Inderkum High School
  • Discovery High School

Focus of High School Summer School:

  • Credit Recovery for both A-G and Graduation Requirements
  • Credit Acceleration Opportunities

Session:
Course work will be offered utilizing existing distance learning platforms such as Google classroom, APEX, district and site approved curricular resources. 

Who can attend:
Students currently enrolled in LGA, NHS, IHS, DHS for the 2019-2020 School Year.

How to Enroll in Summer School:
Individual school sites will be communicating to families directly regarding how to enroll and participate in Summer School. To contact your school site, visit the Virtual School Offices webpage

Attendance Policy
Due to the limited number of spaces and days of the program, attendance is essential. Students and families must commit to participating and completing course work. Students who miss more than 3 days may be dropped from the program. 

Summer School Expectations:
To provide a productive and safe learning environment for all (Students and Staff), the Student Code of Conduct will be enforced during Virtual Summer School. Please refer to the Student Code of Conduct to review the Discipline Matrix that describes the range of consequences for violations within the California Education Code.

  1. The Summer School Principal or designee will apply the appropriate disciplinary consequences, which may include immediate suspension or dismissal of any student who violates school and/or classroom rules. 

Dress Code
Appropriate dress code needs to be followed.

Nutrition Services:
As part of our Nutrition Services program, all Summer School students will be offered meals through our Free Summer Meals. Meals are available for pickup at any of our 15 school site locations.
