As students prepare for a transitional reopening and as a reminder when they return to campus, it’s important for them to know and understand the changes to their school and what they need to do to keep themselves and everyone around them safe and healthy. As part of September’s Suicide Prevention Month, Natomas Unified wants to ensure parents and primary caregivers are aware of the prevalence of suicide and suicide attempts among youth, the warning signs of suicide, how to respond when they recognize their child or another youth is at risk, and where to turn for help in the community when a crisis occurs.
