About Me
Hi, my name is Eric Shoemaker. I am excited to be the new 3rd grade teacher here at Two Rivers. I have lived in Natomas for the past 9 years. I grew up in Fairfield California, and graduated from Fairfield High School. I moved to Sacramento to go to college at Sacramento State University. I graduated Sac State with a B.S. in Sociology.
After graduation I went to work for Stanford Home for Children. I was a residential counselor for boys ages 12 to 18. I worked there for two years before moving on to Progressive Insurance. I worked at Progressive as a call center representative for about 5 years. I decided at that time that I wanted to go back to school and get my Masters Degree in Elementary Education and become a teacher. I have been a teacher for a little over 8 years. I have worked in Fairfield as a 2nd grade teacher and in Woodland as a 1st grade teacher.
I am married with two wonderful boys ages 4 and 2. My weekends are special to me, my family and I love to get out and either do some shopping, going out to eat, going to the movies, or just getting away for the weekend. Some other things I love to do in my spare time are; snowboarding, reading, watching movies, or playing video games.
