- Brainstorm with students what explorers do (discover, learn, etc.)
- Students will form or be assigned to groups (1-3 in a group) to choose and learn more about an explorer. Teacher shares a teacher-generated exemplar of a well-done Concept Poster and discusses the steps and attributes necessary to complete the assignment. Each group or student will conduct research and create a concept poster about their explorer.
Students will share their posters with the class.
