Infinite Campus View Sent Messages
Path: System Administration > Messenger > Sent Message Log
The Sent Message Log allows a user to view all messages sent, scheduled to be sent, in-process of being sent and canceled from within the school district.
- Messages can be located by using the Created Between date fields. Enter the desired date range for when the message was created.
- Click Find Messages to display the applicable messages.
- Messages may be sorted using the fields at the top of each column in the Sent Message Log.
- Status – filters messages by their status in the sending process (waiting, complete, in-process, canceled, error, failed).
- Message Type – identifies the type of message that was sent (attendance, behavior, behavior notice, teacher, grades, missing assignment, failing assignment, notice/staff/survey, emergency).
- District/School – filters messages by the school from which they were sent.
- Message Subject – this is the text that was entered in the subject line of the message.
- Sender – this is the user from whom the message was sent.
- Date Created – this is the date and time at which the message task was created.
- Date Scheduled – this is the date and time that the message was scheduled to be sent.
- ScheduleID – this is a system defined identification number assigned to voice messages.
- To view additional details for a specific message, select the message in the Log. The message details will be displayed below the Sent Message Log.
- The Delivery Summary will summarize when the message was sent, by whom and via which devices.
- Status – indicates the status of the selected message.
- Sender – the Campus user who sent the message
- Date/Time Created – this is the date and time that the message was created using Messenger tools.
- Date/Time Scheduled – this is the date and time that the message was scheduled to be sent.
- Total Recipients – indicates how many people should receive the message.
- Total No Device – reports the number of recipients eligible to receive the message but did not due to not having an available device for the message.
- Total Inbox – reports the total number of process/portal inboxes available to be sent the message, when Inbox was selected as a delivery device for sending the message.
- Total Emails – reports the total number of email messages to be sent, when email has been selected as a delivery device.
- Total Emails Attempted – reports the number of emails that were attempted to be sent.
- Total Voice/Text – reports the total number of phone numbers to be dialed and/or texted, when voice/text has been selected as a delivery device.
- Total Voice/Text Attempted – this is the total number of attempts to complete voice messages, including redials. This number may be larger than the number reported for Total Voice.
- Email and/or Voice Delivery Progress – visually tracks the progress of message delivery to completion. Progress is automatically updated every thirty seconds.
- Selecting Refresh Status will check for updates to the delivery of the selected message.
- Selecting Cancel this Message will cancel the message. This option is only available for waiting and in-progress messages.
- If desired, users gives may print a report of recipients who received and/or did not receive the message due to not having a device to send to designated on Census > Demographics.
- Only the delivery devices to which the message was sent will be available for selection.
- The report may be generated in detail (All), a summary of recipient counts or for messages that failed delivery due to a failed delivery device.
- The report may be generated in one of two formats – PDF or CSV.
- Selecting Print Sent Message Report will generate the Sent Message Report according to the options selected.
- A view of the filter criteria selected when the message was created or scheduled is displayed in the Filter Criteria Detail. The filter criteria will vary depending on the type of message that was sent.
- The message detail will also be displayed.
