Jefferson School students participated in a “Touch of Understanding” on-site assembly. This is a hands-on disability awareness workshop that educates students to understand the challenges associated with disabilities and to accept and respect all individuals. Students were guided through activities that build life skills, which helps them understand and relate to people with disabilities. The assembly also increases respect in classrooms and on the school campus.
