Einstein Club Overview

Einstein Club General Guidelines

The Einstein Club was created to provide students with opportunities to go “above and beyond” what we are learning in the classroom.  These tasks are not only beneficial for our GATE students, but all of our students!

To become a member of the Einstein Club, your child must complete at least three tasks during the school year.  As students complete more tasks, they will move up to the next medal.

Medals will be given out during the last week of school.

While I expect family members to guide and assist the completion of these tasks, all written work should be in the second grade student’s writing and should include their name, cubby number, and the name of the task.

Students must complete items that they have not previously mastered.  They may not complete the same task more than once for credit.

Some tasks will be displayed in class throughout the year, others will be sent home, and a few may be saved for Open House.
None of the tasks will be ‘graded’ and I will rarely write comments on Einstein tasks.  However, if a task does not meet the minimum requirements, it will be returned to the student to finish/correct  and resubmit.
As always, when using the Internet, parental supervision is strongly recommended.

Medal levels are as follows:

BRONZE – complete 3 or more tasks
SILVER – complete 10 or more tasks
GOLD – complete 17 or more tasks
DIAMOND – complete 24 or more tasks
PLATINUM – complete 30 or more tasks
