Designating the Week of March 3-9, 2024 National School Social Work Week

celebrate school social work week 2024

The Board approved a resolution designating March 3 – 9, 2024, as National School Social Work Week. Natomas Unified School District (NUSD) social workers are vital members of the education team, playing a central role in creating a positive environment at schools. Each NUSD school has a designated social worker and access to a district social worker dedicated to the needs of foster and unhoused students. The resolution recognizes the efforts and commitment our social workers provide throughout the year to our students and their families. In previous years, the district provided a hard copy of the FMP, which consisted of hundreds of pages. The 2024 FMP website will be used as the communication tool to share the plan and updates with the community. The Board was not asked to take action. The update was for informational purposes.
